Akaso Seemor-200 Night Vision Goggles

As a kid I always wanted some night vision goggles, but I have to admit, I still want them as an adult too! Lucky for me, with todays technology, now the average person can have a a pair of high end night vision goggles.

I got to test out the Akaso Seemor-200 night vision goggles. These are 4K, full color goggles that have a range of 3280 feet and can zoom in 16 times. It has two modes, full color, and infrared. Powered by revolutionary AI-ISP technology, resulting in stunning full-color images with lossless dynamics, even in ultra-low light conditions. It has a color accuracy of 99%.

Full Color vs Infrared

Infrared Mode

Even though these look like binoculars, you only look through one lens. The other one is an infrared light. Since the camera can see infrared, you will be able to see anything the infrared light shines on. This mode is great for seeing in complete darkness because the built in light will light up whatever you want to see. The downside is, it will be in black and white, and you will be limited by the distance the light will shine. This camera has seven brightness levels, and at level seven, it becomes a powerful spotlight that was lighting up trees 100 yards away from me.

Below are two photos taken in infrared mode. These are in a dark bedroom with a colorful map of the United States, and of some license plates.

Full Color Mode

I was blown away by the full color mode. These goggles use an AI chip to help produce the correct colors, and it works really well. In this mode, you can make out objects as far as 3,280 feet. For this mode mode, you will need a small amount of ambient light, but it doesn’t take much.

Here is a photo of the bedroom in the daylight.

Now here are two photos in the dark on full color mode.

You can see for yourself how good the color reproduction is. These photos were taken fully zoomed out. As you can see, its a fairly tight shot. These do not have a wide angle mode. All views will be this close or zoomed in even closer, which makes them good for outside viewing at far distances.

Recording

A feature that I really like is that it can record 4K video with sound! It can also take still photos. This will be a lot of fun on my camping trips. I will be able to see what’s making that noise outside my camper, and will be able to record it for proof when bigfoot walks by.

Accessories

Everything you need comes in this handy carrying case, including two removable, rechargeable batteries. It uses a USB-C charging cable, and a micro SD card for memory.

Another neat feature is the 1/4 inch camera mount on the top and bottom, and a cold shoe on top to connect accessories.

Conclusion

This was my first time using night vision goggles, but I was impressed. They really do work well. The Akaso goggles come with everything you need in a small convenient carrying case. I plan on keeping these in my camera bag to add some interesting footage to my videos. Check out the Akaso Seemor-200 for yourself.
